Why Morpheus8 is the Cutting Edge Anti-aging Treatment
Ready to tighten, contour, resurface, and repair? You can have your Morpheus8 treatments in the privacy of your own home! Prepare to look amazing!
What is a Morpheus8 Treatment?
A Morpheus8 Facial is the first and only non-surgical, advanced micro-needling treatment that improves elasticity and reduces wrinkles, lines, and sagging. If you’re interested in rejuvenating aging and damaged skin, you will love it. It tackles facial scars, acne scars, and sun damage.
It successfully meets the four essential goals.
Tighten. Contour. Resurface. Repair.
What more can we say? It has all of the components that will make a big difference in how others see you and how you see yourself when you look in the mirror!
A good candidate for Morpheus8 is a woman (or man) who is showing or worried about showing visible signs of aging (sagging, wrinkles, loss of volume).
How Does It Work?
The Morpheus8 treatment combines microneedling with radio frequency – which is sheer genius. If you’re not familiar with microneedling, it is a procedure that uses tiny sterilized needles to create microscopic abrasions that stimulate your skin to produce increased collagen and elastin.
The radio-frequency therapy part of this dynamic facial uses low-energy radiation to gently heat your skin’s deep layer, which helps restore and resurface connective tissues.
Since Morpheus8 uses both technologies, the layers of the skin respond much quicker than other treatment options, with less downtime and with better results!
The Benefits of Radio-Frequency Combined with Microneedling
The Morpheus8 is the first intelligent, programmable, full-body fractional technology that delivers clinically proven RF energy up to a thermal depth of 8mm with its gold-coated pins.
In other words, it is the first and only FDA-cleared technology to penetrate subdermal tissue with a thermal profile, and that is a huge benefit! The process is a customizable solution and is being called genuinely innovative.
The Many Benefits of Morpheus8
Morpheus8 uses a unique applicator to puncture the skin with tiny needles to an exact depth – no guesswork. The tips of the needle generate heat, causing the collagen to contract and tighten the skin above. The heat also helps enhance collagen generation. Altogether, the results are better than with regular microneedling. Plus:
- This treatment can be used on many body parts, including the eyes, face, neck, abdomen, back, and legs.
- Safe for most skin types
- Fades stretch marks
- Minimizes acne scarring
- Lifts and tightens loose skin
- Diminishes fine lines and wrinkles
- Improves aging around the eyes, mouth, and forehead
- Helps lighten dark undereye circles
- Minimal downtime
The Budget Benefit
Morpheus8 is much more affordable than a facelift or other procedures, with an average cost of $1,200 – $4,000*. It makes many women rethink the higher price tag of surgical treatments. For example, the average cost of a facelift can range anywhere from $30,000 to $100,000, which doesn’t always cover the cost of anesthesia.
*The cost of a Morpheus8 treatment depends on the size and amount of treated areas.
The Downtime Benefit
There is physical downtime and social downtime to consider. The average physical downtime of a facelift in the U.S.is about three weeks or more. The social downtime of a facelift is anytime after that – depending on each person’s comfort level.
With the Morpheus8, you can expect some redness, bruising, and swelling. Tiny scabs will likely form in the treated areas. Even so, the anticipated post-Morpheus8 downtime is generally a couple of days or less.
How to Prepare for your Morpheus8 Treatment
Before having a Morpheus8 treatment, avoid things that cause skin irritation. That includes direct sun before (and after treatment) and topical products like retinol or tretinoin at least 2-3 days beforehand. Additionally, at least 48 hours before your treatment, you will want to stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen, Excedrin, Motrin, Ginkgo Biloba, ginseng, flax oil, cod liver oil, fish oil, vitamin A, vitamin E, and other essential fatty acids. Following this recommendation will help reduce the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Prepare for your appointment with clean skin. That means no lotion, makeup, perfume, powder, bath, or shower oil on any areas that are going to be treated.
What You Can Expect
Immediately following your Morpheus8 treatment, you can expect your skin to feel tender, and you may look like you have a mild sunburn. Before being discharged, a special ointment will be applied to the face. No bandages or wraps will be needed. You can also expect some swelling, peeling, flaking, and crusting from the tiny punctures. These conditions will last for 3-7 days. Each person’s experience may be slightly different.
How Many Treatments?
Depending on your age, skin damage, and the extent of improvement desired, a series of two to four treatments may be recommended. We recommend three Morpheus8 treatments spaced about a month apart will provide the best results.
- Makeup should not be worn for 24 hours after the procedure. Makeup can be applied when there are no areas with active oozing or warm redness.
- Resume use of your skin care products after 2-3 days.
- Retinoids can be used 5-7 days after treatment.
- Avoid scrubbing the skin, as it will be sensitive. Treat it as though you have a sunburn, and be gentle when cleansing.
- Use zinc oxide sunblock SPF 30 at all times after 24-48 hours. Until then, avoid direct sunlight.
- Skin cell turnover is about 28 days, so the results will be more evident after this time period.
The results will be long-lasting, and you will feel happy to look in the mirror once again!
