Treatment

Both Botox and Dysport help to relax unwanted muscle movement, like brow furrows, forehead lines, and crows feet. The duration of the products is similar in most patients, but some people have different experiences with each. Your provider will chose according to your desired results and current muscle movement.

Botox and Dysport generally last up to three to four months, whereas fillers can last anywhere from six months to 18 months. However, this varies from person to person and depends on the area that is injected.

The amount of product needed varies from person to person depending on each individuals’ facial anatomy, muscle strength, etc. You will be able to discuss this at length with your provider at the time of your consultation.

What type of filler you need depends on where you would like to inject and the desired effect. You will be able to discuss a customized plan with your provider at the time of your consultation.

Some treatments have little to no downtime making them ideal before a special event. Some more aggressive treatments such as peels can result in anywhere from 3-7 days of social downtime.

For more information on each individual treatment, please ask your consultant who can advise you and help you plan accordingly.

Most people see initial results within 7-10 days. We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before booking a touch-up, if needed.

You can often get several treatments at the same visit. When booking your appointment, let your Client Coordinator know so that they may advise you accordingly.

Bruising and swelling depends on skin type and area of injection, but normally bruising and swelling can last anywhere from 3-7 days.

There are a few things you can do to reduce bruising. We suggest you don’t take any blood thinners (ibuprofen and aspirin) for 10 days prior to your appointment. Alcohol and caffeine are also blood thinners, so if you are worried about bruising, try to refrain from consuming either of those for three days prior to your treatment. There are also natural remedies shown to assist in reducing bruises: arnica and bromelain.

Pregnancy

We do not suggest scheduling any treatments or procedures while pregnant without consulting your OBGYN first. With that said, some of our treatments can be performed without numbing cream meaning they’re suitable if you’re pregnant; it’s always best to book a consultation so our trained practitioners can assess what’s best for you.

We do not suggest scheduling any treatments or procedures while breastfeeding without consulting your OBGYN first. Once you have done so, we advise booking a consult to confirm your options.
